Facilities | Star
Lights Are Bright - Every NightThe star on our tall steeple was fitted
with bulbs and hoisted on November 20th by Gordon Theisen, his sons, Scott and
Zach, and Dick Partch with logistical help by Dawn Theisen. It is a good exercise,
climbing up towards heaven, that heralds Advent and stimulates thinking about
the joyous Christmas Season. The bulbs were first lit on November 26th for all
in the community to enjoy.

Staff Addressing Conservation ConcernsAt their monthly meeting, the church
staff talked about how they can play a part in conserving materials, heat, and
electricity in order to assist in reducing the operating budget. Ways discussed
were: attention to paper usage in the office, paper towel usage in the bathrooms
& kitchen, turning lights out in rooms not used, keeping Center temperature at
65 degrees and the use of coffee mugs instead of paper cups during various functions.
Pastor Rich will be sending a letter to all groups utilizing the facilities to
remind them of the need to conserve, clean up, and commit themselves to proper
maintenance of the rooms they use. | | Kitchen Patrol: To
make the kitchen more user friendly, the Ladies Guild has posted content signs
on all the drawers and cabinet doors. The group inspects the refrigerator every
two weeks and cleans the kitchen from top to bottom periodically. They could use
your help to keep the kitchen in "apple pie" order!(more pictures coming
soon) | Recent Donations:We
received a recent donation of a ceiling mounted projection screen that can be
utilized in all the classrooms and in the conference room and also in the center.
Also we received a donation of a wireless system for cable internet which means
that laptop computer users can access the internet while in the Center. Thanks
to our donor! | Caretaking God's ChurchThis ministry celebrates the time, talents and
treasures of the congregation. The amazing amount and variety of time and energy
given to the community, and the great strides made towards closing the budget
gap, are but two examples. Future projects will focus on the talents and
time of the congregation and how these can be utilized to meet the rising opportunities
for providing service and programs. (More Stewardship,
Wills and Memorials News) During 2004 the Committee received a lot of help from many
members of the congregation who volunteered their time and effort with such things
as spring clean up, lawn mowing, fall leaf raking, and maintaining the plantings
surrounding the buildings. Members of the congregation and outside firms completed
many projects in 2004. (More Buildings and Grounds
